Charlotte Catholic had won four straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 4-1 to make it five. They put the hurt on the Nation Ford Falcons with a sharp 59-35 win. The Cougars pushed the score to 57-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Charlotte Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Siegel led the charge by putting up 17 points and five steals. Siegel is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Trey Houser also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

As for Nation Ford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Nation Ford had strong showings from Makai McKnight, who posted 11 points and five boards, and Drew Robertson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
