Recap: Portola Tigers vs. Biggs Wolverines
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Portola Tigers walked away with it. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over the Wolverines on Wednesday. Portola's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Tanner Carr threw for 73 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Johnny Stewart was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Cody Wilmer rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Portola has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.42 points. As for Biggs, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Portola will head out on the road to face off against Ferndale at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Ferndale: 14.5, Portola: 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Biggs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
