Middletown faced Odessa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cavaliers took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ducks. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Odessa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middletown will venture away from home to take on Christiana at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Odessa, they will head out to square off against Appoquinimink at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Ducks surely won't give up without a fight.
