Basketball Game Preview: South Putnam Eagles vs. Greencastle Tiger Cubs

The South Putnam Eagles will face off against the Greencastle Tiger Cubs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Putnam will be strutting in after a victory while Greencastle will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, South Putnam strolled past Clay City with points to spare, taking the game 44-26. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 18 points.

Meanwhile, Greencastle had to suffer through a 74-23 loss at the hands of Danville. The defeat continues a trend for the Tiger Cubs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.

Greencastle's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for South Putnam, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

South Putnam took their win against Greencastle in their previous matchup back in November by a conclusive 55-33. Will South Putnam repeat their success, or does Greencastle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
