Basketball Recap: Thurgood Marshall Academy Comes Up Short

Thurgood Marshall Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Paul Public Charter International Pirates, falling 70-48. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-52 on January 7th.

Paul Public Charter International found their leader in freshman Kamrin Milam, who went 8 of 18 on his way to 25 points. Another player making a difference was Quran Williams, who went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points.

Thurgood Marshall Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Paul Public Charter International, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Thurgood Marshall Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Parkside at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Paul Public Charter International, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-47 loss against Woodbridge on the 25th.
