Basketball Game Recap: Cedar Creek vs. Mainland Regional

If the Cedar Creek Pirates were riding high off their 68-47 takedown of Absegami on Monday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Cedar Creek was dealt a punishing 62-31 loss at the hands of the Mainland Regional Mustangs on Wednesday.

The Pirates' defeat pushed them down to 7-12. Mainland Regional's victory brought them up to 13-5.

The Pirates will square off against Millville Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close contest. As for Mainland Regional, they will face off against Ocean City Friday. Ocean City is coming in off of a big 57-15 win over Lower Cape May.
