The First Flight Nighthawks will head out to face off against the Hickory Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Flight is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.

First Flight's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Camden County with a sharp 6-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

They hit Camden County with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leighton Dutt (2), Summer Stevens (2), Roxie Smalls, and Hailey Parrish.

Hickory kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 4-0 to First Colonial. The Hawks have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

First Flight pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Hickory, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

First Flight beat Hickory 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Flight since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
