Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. South Sevier Rams
The Dixie Flyers will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the South Sevier Rams at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Dixie is ranked 32nd, while South Sevier is ranked 13th).
Dixie can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 52-32 margin over Crimson Cliffs. The victory was just what Dixie needed coming off of a 60-34 loss in their prior contest.
Kealah Faumuina was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. The game was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. Brinlee Bennett was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Sevier entered their tilt with Water Canyon with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. South Sevier breezed by Water Canyon on the road to the tune of 86-26. South Sevier's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Dixie now has a winning record of 5-4. South Sevier's record now sits at 7-1.
