Volleyball Recap: Rancho San Juan Beats Everett Alvarez for Their Third Straight Win

Rancho San Juan waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Everett Alvarez Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Trailblazers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-104) Rancho San Juan actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 16-25, 15-12.

Austin Valdez was nothing short of spectacular: he had 47 digs and one assist. Those 47 digs gave him a new career-high. Eli Francis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Rancho San Juan's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Everett Alvarez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
