Softball Recap: Toll Gate Beats South Kingstown for Their Third Straight Victory

Toll Gate waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the South Kingstown Rebels. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Reagan Motta made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Motta was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abbi O'Connor, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Liv Cota, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Toll Gate now has a winning record of 3-2. As for South Kingstown, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Toll Gate will host Pilgrim at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Kingstown, they will challenge Westerly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
