Softball Preview: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. Broaddus Bulldogs

The Colmesneil Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Broaddus Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Colmesneil will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.

On Tuesday, Colmesneil never let their opponents score. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Chireno.

Kaylee Harris was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Harris has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive pitching appearances. Harris was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Emily Park was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Broaddus won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-3 walloping at the hands of Brookeland.

Macie Cook was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Colmesneil has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10-2 record this season. As for Broaddus, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
