With a playoff win on the line, McPherson rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Clearwater Indians get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win was just business as usual for the Bullpups, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
Not much got past Addison Chapman, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Clearwater off the board.
At the plate, McPherson got a big performance out of Addie Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kynedi Huggard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
McPherson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Clearwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
As of now, neither McPherson nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
