Football Recap: Caledonia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Caledonia was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 26-13 to the Pontotoc Warriors. The game marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

A big part of Pontotoc's victory came down to the chemistry between Courtland Pass and his top target Austin Bean. Pass threw for 130 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes while Bean rushed for 59 yards and one TD.

Caledonia dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pontotoc, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia will welcome West Point at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Green Wave will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Pontotoc, they will be playing at home against New Hope at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
