Baseball Recap: Arbor View Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Arbor View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Shadow Ridge Mustangs an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. With that victory, the Aggies brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Arbor View got a great performance from Colton Christman as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Christman has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Landon Blais was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Austin Long was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Arbor View's record is now 9-5. As for Shadow Ridge, they moved to 6-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arbor View will head out to take on Basic at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Aggies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Shadow Ridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Spring Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
