Softball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley last Monday, Foothill came back down to earth. Foothill came up short against the West Campus Warriors on Wednesday, falling 14-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for West Campus, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will challenge Burbank at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill is facing Burbank at the right time seeing as Burbank is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Campus, they will venture away from home to face off against Fairfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. West Campus' pitchers better be ready for this one: Fairfield has averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
