Football Game Preview: Shorecrest Scots vs. Meadowdale Mavericks + How To Watch

The Shorecrest Scots will take on the Meadowdale Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Shorecrest's last matchup with Mountlake Terrace could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Scots were beaten by the Hawks 29-0. The Scots have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Meadowdale made sure to put some points up on the board against Edmonds-Woodway on Friday. The Mavericks had just enough and edged out the Warriors 34-31. The Mavericks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meadowdale's win came from a few key players Shorecrest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zekiah Gamble, who threw for 122 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (29). Keavaghn Steich was Gamble's top target, picking up three receiving yards.

Meadowdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meadowdale's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2. As for Shorecrest, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Shorecrest took their victory against Meadowdale in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 28-7 score. Will the Scots repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
