Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loyd Star). They never let the Amite County Trojans get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Loyd Star got a massive performance out of Barrett Womack, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Womack a new career-high. Eli Thornton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Loyd Star's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Amite County, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Loyd Star beat the Trojans by a score of 16-0 later that day.
