Basketball Recap: Morton/White Pass Takes a Loss

Morton/White Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 76-47 loss at the hands of the Rainier Mountaineers. The Timberwolves lost against the Mountaineers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 61-53 score last time.

Morton/White Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Rainier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morton/White Pass has already played their next game (against Onalaska), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rainier will head out on the road to take on Neah Bay at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neah Bay will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Rainier surely won't give up without a fight.
