Recap: South Amboy Governors vs. Dunellen Destroyers
The South Amboy Governors were the 46-38 winner over the Dunellen Destroyers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. South Amboy fell 63-51 to Dunellen on Monday.
Dunellen found their leader in underclassman Vibert Reynolds, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamael Davis, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
South Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Dunellen, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
South Amboy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Kennedy Memorial at 5:30 p.m. Kennedy Memorial is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Dunellen, they will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvary Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
