Football Game Preview: East Buchanan Bulldogs vs. Lathrop Mules

The East Buchanan Bulldogs will square off against the Lathrop Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Buchanan has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Lathrop will arrive with four straight wins.

Last Friday, East Buchanan came up short against North Platte and fell 34-27.

While Lathrop didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past Skyline with a 28-24 victory on Friday. That's two games straight that the Mules have won by exactly four points.

East Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lathrop, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for East Buchanan against Lathrop in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 64-21 victory. In that game, the Bulldogs amassed a halftime lead of 35-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
