Basketball Recap: Stearns Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern Aroostook on Thursday, Stearns came back down to earth. The Stearns Minutemen came up short against the Bangor Christian Patriots on Friday, falling 55-35. The Minutemen haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Stearns' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Bangor Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Stearns won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Penquis Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Stearns is facing Penquis Valley at the right time seeing as Penquis Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bangor Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Greenville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
