Softball Game Preview: Scott City Rams vs. Central Rebels

The Scott City Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Central Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scott City has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Scott City's last matchup with West County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Rams lost 12-2 to the Bulldogs. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scott City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marley Conklin, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Central posted their closest win since May 9, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out West County 8-7.

The victory got Central back to even at 5-5. As for Scott City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Scott City beat Central 12-7 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
