Preview: Tomah Timberwolves vs. Baraboo Thunderbirds
Tomah is 0-3 against Baraboo since November of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tomah Timberwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Baraboo Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Tomah is ranked 160th, while Baraboo is ranked 141st).
Tomah had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against Onalaska as Tomah made off with a 38-13 win.
Logan Rufledt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 297 yards and three touchdowns. Rufledt is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Brown, who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Baraboo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 32-28 to Sparta. Baraboo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
With Tomah's win and Baraboo's defeat, both teams now sport identical 5-4 records.
Tomah came up short against Baraboo in their previous meeting back in August, falling 28-21. Will Tomah have more luck at home instead of on the road?
