Softball Recap: Athens Bible's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rogers, Athens Bible was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lamar County Bulldogs 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since March 11th.

With the victory, Athens Bible broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14. As for Lamar County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 17-18.

Looking ahead, Athens Bible is taking a road trip to square off against Elkmont at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lamar County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Lauderdale County on the 19th.
