A Region VI recap Oct. 3, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. John's, who took down 148th ranked St. John's, 13-12.

Cross extended the longest winning streak in A Region VI this week by beating Military Magnet Academy, 46-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

Cross' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Branford Halls threw for 24 yards and Dionte Evans had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Evans chipped in 136 yards.

Baptist Hill's Troy Harrison and De'Angelo Frasier have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Harrison has thrown for 847 yards this season, while Frasier has 27 catches for 432 yards. Steven Archie from the Eagles leads the league in rushing with 617 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Shaun Wright's team takes on the Islanders. The Trojans are in first place, while St. John's is in third place.

The Bobcats and James Waring Jr.'s team played the most hotly contested game in A Region VI this week, with the Bobcats eventually emerging with a 13-12 victory.
