Basketball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights 56-15. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why New Haven lost, don't look at A'Lanah Webb. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Reese Rhodehamel was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. The game was Rhodehamel's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Salazar, who posted 12 points.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.

New Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-20 defeat against DeKalb on the 15th. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-57 loss against Carroll on the 17th.
