Baseball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

If North Shore was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Humble last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Shore Mustangs came up short against the Humble Wildcats on Friday, falling 11-4. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

North Shore has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. Humble is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12-1 record this season.

North Shore and Humble could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. North Shore (ranked 929th) will meet Kingwood (ranked sixth) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Humble will square off against Channelview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 484 places (917 vs. 433).
