It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cardington-Lincoln had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-37 win over the Elgin Comets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.

Cardington-Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Hardwick, who went 5-for-11 en route to 10 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists Hardwick has posted since back in December of 2024. Kinstin Henthorn was another key player, going 6-for-15 on her way to 18 points.

Cardington-Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Elgin, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Coming up, Cardington-Lincoln will face off against Harvest Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
