Football Recap: Pahokee Finds Playoff Glory Versus Taylor County + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pahokee had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 17-7 win over the Taylor County Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Samuel Arnold produced another solid effort rushing for 178 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 47 receiving yards. He is becoming a predictor of Pahokee's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Xavier Mitchell, who threw for 174 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Pahokee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. They are a perfect 8-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Pahokee's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Taylor County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Pahokee has already played their next matchup, a 30-3 loss against Blountstown on the 28th. Taylor County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
