Soccer Recap: Greenwood Takes a Loss

After flying high against Woodmont last Tuesday, Greenwood came back down to earth. The Greenwood Eagles came up short against the Hillcrest Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Greenwood fell to 2-1. As for Hillcrest, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Greenwood will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Mauldin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mauldin's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Greenwood's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hillcrest, they will head out to face off against T.L. Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
