Football Recap: Inglewood Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Inglewood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 7-6 to the King/Drew Golden Eagles.

Inglewood's loss came despite strong showings from Sariah Howard and Saielle Howard. Sariah rushed for 60 yards on only seven carries, while Saielle picked up 90 receiving yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 50 yards.

Looking ahead, Inglewood will challenge Corona at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for King/Drew, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Jordan on the 22nd.
