Two dominant signal callers in Clee Phillips and Brady Swett are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Stuart W. Cramer Storm will welcome the Bandys Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Stuart W. Cramer lost a heartbreaker the last time they played East Gaston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Storm put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 30-7 victory two weeks ago. The win was nothing new for the Storm as they're now sitting on four straight.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Dominick McCorkle and Brayden Fortenberry. McCorkle rushed for 83 yards and one score while Fortenberry rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. An impressive showing, but Fortenberry really ramped things up playing D: he picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Stuart W. Cramer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in four consecutive games.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stuart W. Cramer's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Fortenberry was the leader with two.
