Basketball Recap: Rose Kameroff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kalskag over Akiak

Kalskag suffered their biggest defeat since February 24, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 65-45 to the Akiak Thunderbolts. The Grizzly Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Grizzly Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rose Kameroff, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Levi, who put up 11 points.

Kalskag's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Akiak, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Kalskag does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Akiak, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-49 defeat against Aniak on the 15th.
