Basketball Recap: Maplesville Red Devils vs. Keith Bears

Despite the loss, Maplesville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nehemiah Mccary posted 11 points and eight boards. Mccary is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Chris Simon was another key player, putting up two points.
Titus Lanier was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-16 en route to 21 points and four steals for Keith. Keith is 4-1 when Lanier posts three or more steals, but 10-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarius Sanders, who put up ten points and three steals.
Maplesville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Keith, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-15 record this season.
Maplesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keith, they will take on Hatch on February 18th. One thing working in Hatch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
