Basketball Recap: Franklin County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Franklin County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Central Magnet on Friday as the Franklin County Rebels made off with a 64-39 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Rebels have posted since December 21, 2023.

Brandon Walker was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Brayden Arnold was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Franklin County was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 4-18. As for Central Magnet, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 17 of their last 18 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

Franklin County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-35 defeat against Lawrence County on the 4th. As for Central Magnet, they have also already played their next game, a 53-52 victory against Moore County on the 3rd.
