Volleyball Recap: Mortimer Jordan Comes Up Short

Mortimer Jordan was the 3-0 winner over Moody when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Mortimer Jordan fell just short of Moody by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While Mortimer Jordan didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Moody 25-0 in the first set.

Mortimer Jordan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

Mortimer Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mortimer Jordan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Helena on the 23rd. As for Moody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Vestavia Hills on the 22nd.
