Volleyball Recap: Maize Comes Up Short

Maize was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Washburn Rural Blues. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Blues when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15.

Maize's defeat dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Washburn Rural, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-7-4.

Maize does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Washburn Rural has already played their next matchup (against Gardner-Edgerton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
