Baseball Game Preview: Excel Academy Charter Wolves vs. Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings

The Excel Academy Charter Wolves will venture away from home to face off against the Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Salem Academy Charter hit Excel Academy Charter with a five-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves fell just short of the Navigator by a score of 10-9.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Nashoba Valley Tech was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nashoba Valley Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffen Casey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Josiah Wells also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Excel Academy Charter now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
