Recap: Racine Park Panthers vs. Racine Horlick Rebels
Even though the Racine Park Panthers have not done well against the Racine Horlick Rebels recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Racine Park came out on top against Racine Horlick by a score of 67-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Racine Park was led to victory by Myasia Bostick and Addison Betker. Bostick scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, while Betker dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. That's the first time this season that Betker posted eight or more assists. Ellie Khreish was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Racine Park's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Racine Horlick, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Racine Park will challenge Racine Case at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Racine Case is ranked 238th, while Racine Park is ranked 248th). As for Racine Horlick, they will head out on the road to face off against Kenosha Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenosha Bradford will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
