Soccer Game Preview: Perryton vs. Dumas

The Perryton Rangers will square off against the Dumas Demons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perryton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Perryton's offense. They lost 8-0 to Randall on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Perryton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 669th, while Randall are ranked 177th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dumas). They blew past Hereford 7-3 on Thursday. Kyara Chavira was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Perryton's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dumas, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Perryton beat Dumas by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, winning 2-1. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
