Softball Recap: Gateway Panthers vs. Liberty Chargers

Gateway and Liberty squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Gateway had to settle for second. They lost 14-4 to the Liberty Chargers. The defeat leaves Gateway without a win on the season.

For Liberty's part, Yasmin Elaraj was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Elaraj was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and a double while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Liberty let Mylee Rodriguez and Samantha Lherisson loose on the outfield. Rodriguez scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Lherisson scored four runs while getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances.
