Basketball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

Fairview lost against Jasper back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fairview Aggies were dealt a 74-38 loss at the hands of the Jasper Vikings. The contest marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fairview dropped their record down to 11-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Jasper, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gadsden City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Jasper, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Priceville at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jasper has three straight victories, Priceville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
