Softball Recap: Chilhowie's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

Chilhowie has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.36 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of the George Wythe Maroons by a score of 10-9. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chilhowie fell to 10-1. As for George Wythe, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Chilhowie will head out on the road to take on Rural Retreat at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Wythe, they will host Radford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something the Maroons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
