Volleyball Recap: Grafton Comes Up Short

If Grafton was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Heritage Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Philip Barbour Colts on Wednesday. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10.

Grafton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Philip Barbour, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6-1.

Coincidentally, Grafton and Philip Barbour will both be playing Fairmont Senior the next time they take the court. The Colts will host the Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bearcats will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
