Football Game Preview: Sterling Silver Knights vs. Haddon Township Hawks

The Sterling Silver Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Haddon Township Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Sterling's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Lindenwold 20-0. Considering the Silver Knights have won six games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

One reason for the win was Sterling's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Mason Boyd-Neal was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. The game marked his first with multiple sacks this season.

Haddon Township not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 19, 2024 (when they won 29-0). They were the clear victors by a 43-20 margin over Gloucester Catholic. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win made it two in a row for Haddon Township and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Sterling, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Sterling against Haddon Township in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silver Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
