Basketball Recap: Parkland Mustangs vs. Davie War Eagles
Parkland lost against Davie back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Parkland Mustangs lost 70-50 to the Davie War Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered against the War Eagles since January 11, 2022.
Despite the loss, Parkland still got an impressive performance from Brock Jackson, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 20 points along with six boards and three steals. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Rumph, who posted five points.

Even though they lost, Parkland was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Davie can attribute much of their success to Cameron Owens, who had eight points in addition to seven assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Owens a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Mickey, who put up nine points.
Parkland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Davie, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Parkland will venture away from home to challenge Mount Tabor at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Tabor knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Parkland likes a good challenge. As for Davie, they will welcome Glenn at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Davie's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Glenn has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
