Greene Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They snuck past the North Lenoir Hawks with a 41-37 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Greene Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Azaria Mumfor out in front who shot 50% from the field on her way to 12 points and six steals. An'Nysha Wooten was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

North Lenoir's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Greene Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
