South Allegheny had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Trinity Shamrocks with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 76-62. The victory was familiar territory for the Gladiators, who have now won seven games in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost, don't look at Owen Schlager. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-17 to rack up 24 points and three steals. Schlager's big performance that afternoon made it 25 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Andre Steele was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

South Allegheny's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Trinity, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-7.

Coming up, South Allegheny will face off against Aliquippa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aliquippa has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three matchups. Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
