Soccer Game Preview: Forbush vs. West Davidson

The Forbush Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the West Davidson Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Forbush is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They had just enough and edged out East Surry 2-1.

Meanwhile, West Davidson strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against R-S Central as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for West Davidson, who have now won 19 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit R-S Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lillian Benton (3), Paelyn Field, Marley Gouker, and Sophie Lohr.

Forbush has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those 14 matchups. As for West Davidson, they pushed their record up to 22-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home.

Forbush came out on top in a nail-biter against West Davidson in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
