Basketball Recap: Canastota Takes a Loss

Canastota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-38 back in December of 2024.

Canastota's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Sherburne-Earlville, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-11 record.

While Canastota had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
